How to obtain a Letter of Recovery to Travel if You’ve Had a Recent COVID-19 Infection

Now with a more stable situation of the pandemic and the increase on air travel, the chances of contracting the COVID-19 virus are higher. Since December 2, 2021, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) made a drastic modification of the requirements to travel to the US if you got a positive test in the last 90 days. Now it is not required to show a NEGATIVE test result, instead you can present a Letter of Recovery accompanied with your last test result even if it was POSITIVE.

If you have been recently infected with COVID-19 and need to travel to the US

If you have been recently infected with COVID-19 and need to travel back, the CDC allows recovered patients to do it under these conditions:

• Completed 7 days of self-isolation
• A POSITIVE PCR or Antigen test (self tests or home tests aren’t valid)
• A signed certificate by a licensed doctor clearing you to travel
(Letter of Recovery from COVID-19)

Can MEDVISIT provide me with the Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19?

Yes. Medvisit will provide you with a CDC approved Letter of Recovery from COVID-19 for returning to the US and also to get back to school or work. All letters are signed by a fully licensed doctor and prepared on an official clinic’s letterhead with our address, contact details and doctor’s license number.
