UPDATE: however now that we are back in the states and my husband was able to see his PCP we were informed that the meds that they prescribed to my husband were not enough. They were treating the ear pain and outer ear infection but not the entire inner ear infection. The drops were not enough, he needed an oral antibiotic and oral prednisone to calm the ear inflammation and infection. We paid for two visits and he saw two different doctors on different days and neither one of them knew this. Although it was convienient and they were nice doctors the treatment plan was not appropriate and its scary when you need to fly 13 hours and your ear drum has the possibility of puncturing.
